Quivira Farms Presentation, UA-CEAC, Oct 21

Again, I can not thank you and your Uof A colleagues for being such a source of inspiration and informative feedback for our Quivira Farms project. Today, the U of A Controlled Environmental Agriculture Center is hosting the International Society of Horticultural Science’s Symposium in Tucson, AZ. The international research meeting will feature presentations of the latest research in climate controlled, indoor, crop production methods.

Among the many presentations, Quivira Farms self sustaining social venture project will display a poster board of our proposed site plan that uses sustainable agricultural and renewable energy practices to benefit special needs persons and urban communities

Professor Gene Giacomelli, Director CEAC, has been very helpful in our efforts to coordinate our presentation at the subject International Society of Horticultural Science’s Symposium at U of A today. We posted the annoucement of our presentation at U of A on our website www.quivirafarms.com

Quivira Farms to present at ISHS

The UA, Controlled Environmental Agriculture Center, will host the International Society of Horticultural Science’s Symposium in Tucson, AZ. The international research meeting will feature presentations of the latest research in climate controlled, indoor, crop production methods.

Among the many presentations, Quivira Farms Project will display a poster board of our proposed site plan for a sustainable community development project involving green house production methods to benefit special needs persons and urban communities. A draft of the project’s executive summary and contact information will be viewed by those in program attendance.

This is a sustainable community development project drawing on the resources of hydroponic gardens combined with aquaculture production to provide employment for special needs persons and organic farm production for local markets.
